From the URL name itself, you can tell that this website is a very personal website. Yup, it is. Who am I? I am Kia. This website is about every single dot of my journey with Toastmasters Movement, it’s about my journey to possess excellent communication skills.
A lot of time, when we search for information from websites, you will notice that most of the website information is supported by experts. For example, if you are looking for public speaking tips in google.com, you can find that the information appeared on the list is from professional speakers. Have you ever wondered how these experts are so good to be expert? Are they born-expert? How are they transformed from an ordinary person to an expert? These questions always flush into my mind….
I have two choices. First one is to believe that these professionals are born-expert. Second one is to believe that they are not born-expert. They are experts because of their perseverance to chase for their dream. I choose the latter belief. The reason is simple, if I chose the first one; I would have to live in an unmeaningful life. The result is I don’t have to fight for my dream because I’m not a born-expert. My belief system told me that nobody is born expert. So long as you continue chasing your dream, with proper guidance and attitude, you can surely be an expert in the future.
Objectives of IAMKIA.com:
1) To show you the transformation of an ordinary guy (KIA) to become an expert in public speaking arena.
2) To motivate and inspire you to take action to chase for your dreams in whatever arena.
3) To show you my journey to possess excellent communication skills.
4) To share with you my thoughts, my methods to chase my dreams.
5) To prove to you, “an expert was not an expert when he was born”.
I was once a perfectionist, meaning, I wish everything to be perfect and won’t disclose anything which is no good of myself to public. Here, I won’t hide anything. In the link to “My Voice”, even though sometimes I did not perform well in my speech, I will still show to you all. I want you to know that there’s nothing wrong to make mistake, but try not to repeat the same mistake.
