Wow… Finally, one term of service as a president in The Frontier Toastmasters Club was over! I was eventually free from the heavy burden of leading a club. However, as the immediate past president of the club, somehow or rather, I still play a quite important role in the club, I guess…

Now, the new president is a China Lady - Cynthia Zhai. I used to work under a lady boss in my previous company and a lot of people warned me that lady boss was actually quite difficult to deal with. Sorry to offend my previous boss, yup, indeed, she was a little bit difficult to deal with compared with all the male bosses whom I had dealt with. Sometimes, I found that ladies were quite emotional. Ops, I think I have not only offended my ex-boss, but ladies. Sometimes, I can be quite emotional too… After all, she was still my very good boss. The new president, the lady boss of The Frontier Toastmasters Club, is she going to be a tough person to deal with? We will see….

To me, I must admit that I was very fortunate to have Cynthia as my Vice President of Education during my service as a president. Till now, she is still the best VPE whom I have never met. The dedication, passion and enthusiasm of her in Toastmasters, are definitely assets to The Frontier TMC. Her greatest attribute is her sincerity. I must say that she is a role model for all the Toastmasters.

This term, she has set a higher goal to the club, which is to achieve President Distinguished Club award with 10 out of 10 goals. And she said…. “We MUST achieve!” That wowed me as I dared not to say this sentence out when I first received the baton as a president. This was something that I should learn from her.

Once a member of The Frontier TMC, I will be forever the member of The Frontier TMC. This is like a second-home for me. My dream is to witness every member in the club, is able to success in their career and speaking journey. I want them to be proud of themselves when they stand on stage and tell everybody that “I am a Toastmaster from The Frontier TMC!”

I believe, under the new leadership of Cynthia, The Frontier TMC will achieve a greater height!
