Pre-Contest Symptom

 | Author:yowkia |  |

Yow Kia

It’s been quite some time you have not been hearing from me. What has happened to me? Thanks for your concern. I’m perfectly alright!

My mind has been reading and modifying the same speech continuously for the past few days. Now, actually my mind is still thinking about the speech. It’s kind of torturing… I just can’t control it! Before I went to bed, the speech was rewinding in my mind. When I woke up early in the morning, the speech was repeating in my mind. When I was on my way to work, again, the speech was in my mind. When I was driving, still, part of my concentration was on the speech. How to get rid of it? What kind of symptom that I’m suffering now? I don’t know. This is the first time I have encountered this kind of situation. Should I consult a doctor? How about taking MC to take a good rest at home?

I was diagnosed by an expert and it was discovered that I’m suffering Pre-Contest-KiSeHu (PCK) Symptom now. This is a very common symptom for those amateur speakers who have no experience in taking part in a huge speech contest. Usually, one week before the contest, the contestant will unconsciously visualize a lot of unusual scenes inside his mind – crying, laughing, jumping, singing, etc… For a person who is suffering PCK Symptom, he has to be more alert while crossing a road, because it is quite dangerous to him. His spirit is like controlled by another body. Very mysterious…

Now, you must be wondering who the expert is. Well, the expert is called KIA! Then what about the symptom name PCK? I don’t know. I just anyhow named it. It sounds very Japanese, right? Let me check whether this word can be found in Japanese Dictionary. Wow, I’m a genius; I can’t find any similar word.

Two more days, it’s my stage time again! It’s a Division Z humorous speech contest. Am I well-prepared? I would say so… But, the thing is yesterday I looked at the list of the speakers. Most of them are veteran speakers… I even went to “google” them. Nowadays, it’s quite convenient to check a person’s background. Just go to google.com and type the person’s name and you may find plenty of their information. You may try to google me – “YOW KIA” if you would like to. So far, I have not found any negative news about me…

“Relax, relax, relax… It’s just a contest. Win or Lose is not that important…” – KIA

I will repeat this sentence, over and over and over and over… until that day – Division Z Humorous Speech Contest Day (27-Oct). Wish me GOOD LUCK please! Thank you very much!
